Recipe Directions
- If you are using wooden skewers, soak in water for 20-30 minutes.
- Mix together the spices for the homemade ranch seasoning in a small bowl until well combined. Set aside.
- Cut wild turkey breast into 1 inch chunks then place into a bowl.
- Season wild turkey all over with ranch seasoning. You will likely not need to use all of the ranch seasoning. Toss until well coated.
- To assemble the skewers, start with one end of the bacon and thread through the skewer once. Thread a piece of seasoned wild turkey then weave the bacon back over the wild turkey once. Add a slice of jalapeno then weave the bacon over top. Repeat this process until the skewer is filled then repeat the process with remaining skewers until you run out of wild turkey. Allow to marinate while you preheat your grill.
- Preheat your grill to 400 degrees.
- Add the wild turkey skewers on the grill grates and grill until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165 degrees, about 14-19 minutes. Rotate the skewers often during the cooking process.
- Serve warm, drizzled with ranch or served with ranch on the side if desired.
Note:
*If you prefer a less spicy option, you can opmit the jalapeños entirely.
