EDGE Series Cameras Get HD Image Upgrade

If you’re a current Moultrie EDGE camera user, you may have noticed that the images in your gallery look sharper and more detailed. No, your eyes haven’t improved, but your camera’s images have. Moultrie has upgraded all Edge Series cameras to display HD images in its gallery. What does this mean? It means you can zoom in on the first image you receive and see all the antler tines and points you want, without waiting for a high-res download.

Why do HD images matter?

When a Moultrie EDGE Series camera captures an image in the field, it uploads a preview image to the app. This is the image you see when scrolling through the Moultrie app. The Gallery images are smaller, so they can be sent more easily over a cellular connection. More details are visible on hi-res downloads, but this can be time consuming, when you’re scrolling through the app and trying to zoom in to see antler details.

Free, Automatic Upgrade for All EDGE Series Users

Now, the photos in your gallery have been upgraded to HD, allowing you to zoom in and still see 4x more detail. EDGE Series customers still have the option of downloading a high-resolution version of the image stored in the camera, but with the new HD thumbnails, you won’t need to.

Moultrie is committed to continuously improving its customer experience. Customer feedback indicated that the first image is the most important, so we upgraded all app images to HD, for free. The new HD images upgrade is free for all EDGE Series camera users and will automatically apply to all your new photos.

Check out your new images in the Gallery in the Moultrie App, so you can zoom in, and tag out.
